Four Pillars gin distillery gets an upgrade

One of Victoria's most successful craft spirit companies has expanded its Healesville distillery to welcome more visitors and increase production of its award-winning gins.

The Victorian Government has supported Four Pillars' $7 million investment to install new blending and storage equipment to meet growing consumer demand – boosting tourism and creating jobs in the Yarra Valley.

The new facility is now open with an extended hospitality, tasting and customer experience area including a new restaurant and garden.

The project will create 30 new manufacturing and hospitality jobs, as well as provide training and up-skilling opportunities for Four Pillars' 100-plus staff.

Since its inception in 2013, Four Pillars has grown to become one of Australia's leading gin distilleries exporting to more than 30 countries across the world.

Four Pillars was named 2022 Distiller of the Year and Brand Innovator of the Year at the World Gin Awards 2022, regional awards and its expansion will ensure that it remains a popular destination with tourists and locals alike.

In 2019, the Yarra Valley attracted more than 5.9 million domestic and international overnight visitors, adding more than $772 million to the economy. The tourism industry in the region supports around 6,500 jobs.

Victoria is home to some of the country's best drink producers with around 950 businesses licensed to make wine, beer, cider and spirits.
