Four Teens Arrested for Ramming Stolen Car Into Police Vehicle

Police have arrested four teenagers in Kensington after an allegedly stolen vehicle rammed a police car last night.

Officers were first called to reports of a vehicle crashing into a pole on Speakerman Street about 8.45pm.

When officers arrived at the scene, the four occupants of the vehicle had allegedly fled on foot towards local parkland.

The vehicle, a white Kia sedan was allegedly stolen earlier from a shopping centre in Tarneit

It is alleged that the vehicle was previously involved in the ramming of a police vehicle on Ballarat Road in Footscray about 8.30pm.

With the assistance of Air Wing, the four occupants were later observed getting into a rideshare vehicle on Barkley Street, Footscray about 9pm, where they were quickly arrested.

Three teenage girls two aged 16 and 15 and an 18-year-old female are assisting police with their enquiries.
