Visitors to Wally Tew Reserve may notice a new look in a familiar place. A new gazebo has been installed, offering a more accessible and functional space for the community to enjoy.
The new structure retains the original footprint but introduces thoughtful upgrades to improve comfort and usability. A wider path now connects the gazebo to the reserve's walking network, and the previously tiered floor has been replaced with a level surface, making the space easier to access and more adaptable for everyday use and events.
Built with durable materials and a lighter roof to reduce heat, the gazebo is designed for comfort, safety, and low maintenance. In line with Council's sustainability goals, timber from the original structure has been passed on to Knox Pacemakers for potential reuse and repurposing.
Whether you're after a shady spot on a summer walk or a quiet place to pause, the gazebo offers a peaceful retreat within the reserve. It's one of several upgrades helping to ensure the reserve continues to meet the needs of the community now and into the future.
