Fresh New Program for Children's Week Picnic

Pack the picnic blanket and join in the fun as Wyndham City's free Children's Week Picnic returns to Werribee Park on Sunday 23 October between 10am - 4pm.

Entry to Children's Week Picnic is free, however a pre-booked ticket is essential.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Peter Maynard encouraged families to plan ahead and pre-book their free tickets, so they don't miss out.

"The much-loved event returns to its regular schedule this October with a new stage line-up and energetic program of interactive activities, come-and-try sports, stalls and roving entertainment to enjoy!" Cr Maynard said.

"Children's Week Picnic is always a great day out for families and the new program features a range of new activities, with stage highlights including the ARIA award nominated Diver City featuring musician KLP and comedian Matt Okine, along with the hilarious new kids' show, Don't Mess with the Dummies and Whistle & Trick."

"Tickets will be available from 9am, 3 October 2022 and are expected to book quickly - so we encourage residents to plan ahead to pre-book their tickets."

Families will be able to meet and get up close with native animals with interactive talks by WildlifeXposure, build and decorate their own cardboard space shuttle at Boxwars, make music with All The Doo Dah Day and enjoy roving performances from Snuff Puppets.

"Picnics are welcome, or you can enjoy a bite to eat from one of the onsite food trucks," Cr Maynard said.
