Further easing of COVIDSafe settings

From 6pm on Friday 26 March, COVIDSafe settings will be further relaxed.

The Victorian Government announced the further easing of restrictions this week allowing for more visitors in the home, reduced mask-wearing and an increase in the number of people allowed in live music venues and other settings.

Victorians will be able to host up to 100 people in their home per day.

Outdoor gatherings in public places - the beach, the park - can also increase to 200 people.

Masks will no longer be required in retail settings but must still be carried at all times and worn on public transport, in rideshare vehicles and taxis and in sensitive settings such as aged care facilities and hospitals.

Remember, even as restrictions ease, it remains very important to stay safe by:

  • washing your hands regularly
  • carrying a face mask with you and wearing it when required
  • coughing and sneezing into your elbow
  • keeping at least 1.5 metres from others.

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, you must get tested and stay home. The closest testing location in Bayside is at Sandringham Hospital.

Stay safe Bayside.
