FY21 DAF Safety Awards announced

Department of the Air Force Chief of Safety Maj. Gen. Jeannie M. Leavitt recently announced the recipients for the fiscal year 2021 Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff Safety Awards, as well as the Department of the Air Force Chief of Safety Awards.

"We serve in an inherently dangerous environment so we must execute robust risk management to ensure safe and effective operations," Leavitt said. "The Air and Space Forces employ world-class safety programs that are focused on managing risk at the appropriate level to protect our people, preserve our resources, and prevent mishaps both on and off duty."

The FY21 Department of the Air Force Safety Awards Program provides organizations, teams, and individuals the opportunity to be recognized for their hard work, enhanced performance, accomplishments, and feats in safety.

"This year's award winners not only upheld the Department's exemplary safety standards, but took them to the next level," Leavitt said. "I am honored to recognize all of the recipients for the important work they've done to safeguard Airmen and Guardians, while protecting resources to enable mission success."
