The Crisafulli Government is celebrating Queensland's youngest residents and their families, with the latest G'day Little Queenslanders event in Rockhampton.
The heartwarming free events are all about bringing together Queensland's new babies and their families, for a morning of fun, laughter, and activities including everyone's favourite heelers, Bluey and Bingo.
The family-friendly event at Kershaw Gardens in North Rockhampton on 2 August, will feature live children's entertainment including the Bluey Live Interactive Experience, food trucks, and welcoming spaces to play, relax and connect.
It's just one of the ways the Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start and a plan for Queensland's future, while also ensuring parents have access to the must-know government resources and local services.
Parents can also register their children aged 0-2 years to receive a personalised certificate on the day.
Premier David Crisafulli said G'day Little Queenslander events brought local families together to celebrate our newest Queenslanders.
"G'day Little Queenslanders is about celebrating life's early milestones for our youngest Queenslanders, bringing families together and building community connections," Premier Crisafulli said.
"It's a great opportunity for people from Rockhampton and surrounding areas to discover and connect with a wide range of supports available, including government resources, health services and community organisations.
"These events are being held in communities across our State to make sure every family, no matter where they live in Queensland, can feel supported and connected while celebrating their little ones."
Member for Rockhampton Donna Kirkland said G'day Little Queenslanders was a great initiative for families to gather and get to know their community and what Rocky has to offer.
"Building a sense of connection to our community and sharing information with families about what's on offer in our region is what G'day Little Queenslanders is all about," Mrs Kirkland said.
"This will be a family friendly event with plenty of shows, activities and colour set to transform Kershaw Gardens, as we welcome our newest Queenslanders to our community."
Member for Keppel Nigel Hutton said it was fantastic that we are bringing the Central Queensland community together to celebrate our newest Queenslanders.
"Central Queensland is growing and G'day Little Queenslander ensures that our young families have access to the organisations who provide information and services across our community.
"Parenting is a hard gig, and the support of our friends, our families and communities can be game changers; this event brings us all together for some fun and ensures we're getting good information, remember it takes a village!"
Member for Mirani Glen Kelly said events like G'day Little Queenslanders are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the State's youngest residents and bring families together for a fun day out in the community.
"I encourage families from across the Mirani electorate to come along and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic morning for our youngest Queenslanders," Mr Kelly said.
"It is great to see events like G'day Little Queenslanders coming to Central Queensland and giving our bush kids the chance to meet Bluey and Bingo without having to travel to Brisbane."
