Geelong Kids' Week 2025: Fun, Family & Connection

From Highland dancing and nature play to a miniature railway adventure and Nippers come-and try sessions, this year's 20th Geelong Children's Week promises fun-filled experiences for families across the region.

Running from 11 to 26 October 2025, Children's Week is a chance to celebrate the talents, achievements, rights and wellbeing of children aged 12 and under.

More than 20 free events are on offer, proudly supported by the City of Greater Geelong and local organisations. Highlights include:

  • Kids Disco Party
  • Kids FunFest featuring The MikMaks
  • Anakie Playgroup Party
  • Big Rights for Little People with maracatu drumming, storytelling and yoga
  • Rhythm of the Philippines - Let's Sing and Dance!
  • Nature Playday: Ngubitj bulayt bengadak - Water Connects Us All
  • Wombat's Walk

The City's signature event, Kids FunFest, will take place as part of the celebrations and feature a high-energy live performance by much-loved children's entertainers The MikMaks. This free and unmissable event for families will also include hands-on activities, entertainment and interactive displays.

Many of these events have been funded through the City's $20,000 Children's Week Grants Program.
