Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nomination:
Army Maj. Gen. Christopher C. LaNeve for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as commanding general, Eighth Army; and chief of staff, Combined Forces Command, Republic of Korea. LaNeve currently serves as commanding general, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
