Get In2Tennis at no charge this January

Ten days of tennis fun is on its way to Brimbank as Council gets ready to serve up its annual In2Tennis festival in January.

The festival will run from Friday 24 January to Sunday 2 February 2020 with no charge tennis activities planned at 10 local tennis venues.

Brimbank Mayor, Cr Georgina Papafotiou said In2Tennis is a fantastic opportunity for community members to give tennis a go no matter their age, ability or fitness level.

'In2Tennis is all about having fun and discovering all there is to love about tennis.

'The 2020 In2Tennis festival kicks off with a community event on 24 January at Sunshine Square – next door to the Brimbank Community and Civic Centre – where you'll get to try out a wider range of tennis activities.

'There will also be face painting, music, a community barbecue, and the Australian Open on the huge outdoor screen.

'Best of all it's all at no charge – including all of the activities throughout the festival. All you have to do is register and turn up on the day,' Cr Papafotiou said.

During In2Tennis, community members can register to take part in:

  • Open Court Sessions – social tennis with a soundtrack
  • Free Tennis Days – hosted by local tennis clubs
  • Hot Shots – for kids up to 12 years
  • Cardio Tennis – fun tennis workout for all ages, abilities and fitness levels
  • Tennis4Teens – social program for 12 to 17 year-olds
