Get Ready for Next Jindabyne Community Cleanup

A group of people sorting collected litter at the April 2023 Jindabyne Community Cleanup

Warmer weather is finally here in the Snowy Monaro, and Council is calling on our community to come together and join in the spring-cleaning fun at our next Jindabyne Community Cleanup on the foreshore of Lake Jindabyne.

This season's first cleanup runs from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday 25 October, meeting at Jindabyne Skate Park.

These events are a wonderful reminder of the strength of our community spirit, with selfless locals from across the region volunteering their time and doing their part to clean up the foreshore following the busy winter season.

With a free sausage sizzle for all volunteers, and bags, gloves and claw-sticks provided – all you need to bring along is your hat, water bottle and sunscreen.

Participants will help remove and clean up rubbish and litter from the park, carpark, footpath, and foreshore.

This partnership between Sustainable Snowies and Snowy Monaro Regional Council is part of the Sustainable Snowies Strategy, funded by a NSW Environment Protection Authority grant through the Canberra Region Joint Organisation.

We look forward to seeing you there on the day. Thank you for helping keep the Snowy Monaro beautiful for all of us.
