Glenfield residents and frequent visitors can soon enjoy a more welcoming town centre, with construction now underway along Railway Parade.

The Glenfield Town Centre Beautification and Public Art project will deliver a $2.5million investment to improve accessibility with new shared pathways and pedestrian crossings, while enhancing public spaces with landscaping, new paving and street furniture.

The project will also feature Offering: Gifts of Glenfield, a large-scale public installation by artist Anney Bounpraseuth. Inspired by traditional Lao weaving, pop culture and Glenfield's rich diversity, the artwork will transform garden beds and street furniture into a shared story place that celebrates the community connection

"As Glenfield grows, it's important that our public spaces keep up with the needs of the people who live here. The upgrades to Glenfield Town Centre will better serve of its growing community and help residents make the most of this important local destination," said Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Darcy Lound.

"Glenfield is an important transport hub, with thousands utilising the train station every day. Investing in our town centre is about creating a place where everyone feels welcome and enjoy a more attractive and vibrant public space," said Cr Lound.

Member for Macquarie Fields, Anoulack Chanthivong MP, said the project was set to transform Glenfield - a thriving transport hub.

"I'm delighted to celebrate the commencement of works to revitalise Glenfield to create a connected, inclusive space for our growing community to serve future generations."

Construction is scheduled to be completed by mid-2027 with access to certain points along Railway Parade restricted, including parking, pedestrian and cyclist changes.

The Glenfield Town Centre Beautification and Public Art project is proudly funded by the NSW Government through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
