Glenfield is set to welcome a new space for riding and outdoor activity, with construction now underway on the Glenfield Urban Bike Park at Seddon and Kennett Park.
The project, designed for all skill levels and abilities, will bring more ways to ride, move and have fun, while enhancing the surrounding area and giving residents a space to practice, build confidence and enjoy wheeled sports.
"This is going to be a purpose-built facility and will give our residents with a safe and accessible place to ride and spend time outdoors with their families," said Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Darcy Lound.
"It's great outcome for Glenfield. It will create a space where people can get active, try something new and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment," said Cr Lound.
Member for Macquarie Fields, Anoulack Chanthivong MP, said he welcomed the start of works on the Glenfield Urban Bike Park.
"This fantastic recreational opportunity will enhance existing sporting facilities and give our growing community more choice when it comes to keeping healthy and active.
"I look forward to local families enjoying this exciting new recreational space once complete," he said.
Once complete, the new bike park will become a valuable addition to Seddon and Kennett Park, supporting a more active and connected community.
The project is expected to be completed by late 2026.
