Lottery lightning has struck the Gold Coast once again, with seven locals sharing a $1.6 million prize from the weekend's Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The locals were part of a seven-share store syndicate that held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4587, drawn on Saturday, 5 July 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $1,691,612.55.
In addition to winning division one, the syndicate's winning System 9 entry also won division three 18 times, division four 45 times and division six 40 times, bolstering the group's total win to $1,705,291.10.
Each member of the winning Gold Coast syndicate took home a prize worth $243,613.01.
So far this year, six major lottery wins have landed in the Gold Coast, totalling more than $6.05 million in prize money.
Shares in the winning syndicate were purchased at Supercentre News, Shop C19, Q Super Centre, Cnr Markeri Street & Bermuda Street, Mermaid Waters.
Supercentre News owner Susan Cui said she was pleased to hear many locals had scored a share in the division one winning syndicate.
"We're super excited! How amazing that seven people have taken home more than $243,000!" she shared.
"I'm sure these syndicate members are waking up this morning on cloud nine knowing that they're about to receive a boost to their bank account.

While some of the winning syndicate members held registered entries and have been notified of their win, some of the winning group with an unregistered entry might still be unaware of their good fortune.
