Govt Partners with Italy's Export Agency for WA Priority

The Cook Labor Government is continuing to keep Western Australia's economy the strongest in the nation through the signing of a joint communiqu with Servizi Assicurativi del Commercio Estero S.p.A. (SACE), Italy's export credit agency.

The communiqu outlines the intent to pursue and encourage ongoing engagement and information exchange between Western Australian and Italian stakeholders in areas related to critical raw materials supply chains, projects and business opportunities.

Guglielmo Picchi, chairman of SACE, attended Invest and Trade Western Australia's Beyond the Pitch: Connecting Western Australia and Italy business breakfast, where the signing with the Agent General, Rebecca Tomkinson took place.

This joint announcement aligns with broader Australia-Italy engagement related to critical minerals supply chains and the energy transition and proposes further collaboration on projects, initiatives and commercial activities which benefit both WA and Italy.

The signing further cements the State's position as a leader global supplier of critical minerals and battery materials.

As stated by Mines, Petroleum and Exploration Minister Daniel Pastorelli:

"As a trusted and reliable investment destination, WA is well placed to build stronger international partnerships that support secure and resilient supply chains.
