Applications are now open for two small and medium business grants to support more local Queensland companies to grow and create more jobs.
Minister for Employment and Small Business Shannon Fentiman announced the latest round of Entrepreneur grants and the Business Growth Fund are available for Queensland businesses to apply today.
"We want to help kickstart our local businesses in their early stages and continue to support them to grow sustainably with expert advice and support," Ms Fentiman said.
"Our Entrepreneur Grants assist some of our State's newest small businesses by giving them the vital support they need as they are just starting out with grants of up to $5,000."
Past recipient Revival Art and Design Gallery co-owner Pauline Elphine used their grant to engage with a business consultant to improve sales and profitability.
"Our Business Growth Fund targets small and medium sized businesses who are already established and looking to take their businesses to the next level with funding of up to $50,000."
3D printing company Trinity Engineering and Consulting based in Cairns were successful under the last round of the Business Growth Fund and will be using it for a larger scale industrial 3D printer so they can engage in larger projects.
"To make it easier for small businesses to apply for our fantastic grants we are also releasing our schedule for upcoming grants for this financial year," she said.
"This is based on feedback I heard while meeting with local business owners across the state as part of my small business budget roadshow recently.
"We want to make it as easy as possible for more businesses to apply for our grants so we can help them to grow and create more jobs.
