Greens Delay AGM for Voice Referendum

Australian Greens

The Greens (NSW) have resolved to move their AGM which was planned to take place on the weekend now scheduled for the Voice Referendum.

The AGM attracts hundreds of members from across NSW who decide on key issues including the election of office bearers and committee members.

The AGM was scheduled earlier in the year for the 14th and 15th of October.

Kate da Costa, Convenor of The Greens (NSW) said:

"Deferring our AGM poses a logistical challenge but will allow our members to actively participate in the referendum.

We want to do everything we can to encourage members to engage with the Referendum.

The Greens were the first political party to endorse the Uluru Statement from the Heart in full. A successful YES referendum is the first step towards Truth, Treaty and Voice."
