Greens Insult To Salmon Workers

Liberal Tasmania
  • Felix Ellis Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Minister for Skills, Training and Workforce Growth, Minister for Resources, Minister for Racing, Leader of the House, Member for Braddon
  • The Greens must apologise for their degrading and farcical "transition" plan for salmon workers on Macquarie Harbour.

The men and women working in Tasmania's salmon farming on Macquarie Harbour work bloody hard for an industry that is world leading.

Instead, the Greens are preparing to sack them all from the job they love, and send them from the Harbour to an office working as a pen-pusher.

This is degrading, insulting, disrespectful and utterly farcical.

Let's not forget that not all that long ago it was the Greens who wanted to sack forestry workers and make them all tour guides.

The Greens have been running around lately trying to pretend to be all mainstream, but the reality is they're still the same extreme greens, anti-jobs, anti-everything.
