Grievous Bodily Harm Charges At Townsville

Police have charged a man after he allegedly stabbed another man in Vincent overnight.

It will be alleged at 7.30pm the two men, who are known to each other, were at a house in Hodges Street.

A verbal altercation occurred, during which a 22-year-old man was stabbed numerous times.

Police attend and arrested a 29-year-old Vincent man at the scene.

He has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court this morning, 18 June.

The 22-year-old Vincent man remains in a stable condition in the Townsville University Hospital with several stab wounds.
