Griffith Regional Art Gallery presents From Page to Gallery, an exhibition highlighting the creative development of young people in Griffith. Showing at the Griffith Regional Theatre ARTSPACE until Friday 6 March 2026, the exhibition features work by local students in Years 9–12 created during a summer workshop program.
During the school holidays, students participated in practical workshops led by artist Sophie Chauncy alongside Gallery staff. The program guided participants through the artistic process from developing concepts in their art journals to producing resolved works for public display. Along the way, students experimented with techniques, refined their ideas and strengthened their confidence as emerging artists.
The exhibition presents a considered collection of works that reflect a range of perspectives and styles. It offers insight into both the creative process and the growth of the students involved.
Gallery Coordinator Melanie Toscan said the program provided valuable mentorship and a meaningful opportunity for young artists to share their work with the community.
"The participants gained invaluable mentorship, learned new techniques and built confidence in their ability to communicate their ideas through art. We are thrilled to provide a platform for emerging young artists in our region," she said.
Community members are encouraged to visit ARTSPACE and view the exhibition before it closes on Friday 6 March 2026.
This project is supported by the NSW Government.
