Griffith Hosts Free Australia Day Splash at GRALC

Griffith City Council is inviting the community to a free Australia Day pool party at the Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre (GRALC) on Monday 26 January from 11am to 4pm.

Beat the heat with free entry, music, tasty treats and a space to get creative.

Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran said everyone is welcome to bring friends and family for a day of fun, swimming and celebration at GRALC.

"This free, inclusive event is a great way for our community to come together, cool off and celebrate Australia Day with activities for the whole family," Cr Curran said.

"Everyone is welcome to attend, I think there is something for just about everyone.

"Our Australia Day Ambassador, Alex Moore is looking forward to joining in some of the activities planned."

On the day there will be a classic summer sausage sizzle, water and free ice cream for the first 500 people. An art space will offer Aussie inspired watercolour activities and a DJ will set the vibe poolside. The watercolour workshop for Beginners will be led by Karly Sivewright and bookings are essential.
