Griffith City Council is inviting residents to light up the city and celebrate the festive season with the return of the annual Christmas Light Decoration Competition.
This much-loved community tradition encourages residents to showcase their creativity and Christmas spirit by decorating their homes, mailboxes and streets with dazzling displays.
Registrations open Friday, 14 November and close Sunday 14 December, with community voting commencing Monday 1 December and closing Sunday, 4 January.
This year's competition offers exciting prizes across the following categories:
- Mayor's Choice – $500 Visa Gift Card
- People's Choice – $500 Visa Gift Card
- Best Dressed Street – Bragging Rights
Mayor Doug Curran encouraged all residents to get involved and spread festive cheer across Griffith.
"Each year, the Christmas Light Competition brings our community together and creates a wonderful atmosphere throughout our city," Mayor Curran said.
"I'll be looking for displays that truly capture the joy, colour and creativity of the season. Whether it's a traditional look or something unique to Griffith, I can't wait to see what our community comes up with."
