Hahn Australia Cup Final 2025 Venue Confirmed

Football Australia has today confirmed that Lakeside Stadium, Melbourne will host the Hahn Australia Cup Final 2025 between Heidelberg United FC and Newcastle Jets FC on Saturday, 4 October (7.40pm AEST).

A total of 718 teams from each state and territory across Australia embarked on their Hahn Australia Cup journey at the start of 2025, now, only two clubs remain to be crowned Hahn Australia Cup Winners and reserve the right to participate in the 2026-27 AFC Champions League Two.

History beckons on the first Saturday of October, with either Heidelberg United FC to become the first Member Federation side to lift the trophy, or Newcastle Jets FC to claim their maiden Hahn Australia Cup title.

Heidelberg United FC (Football VIC) were the first to book their place in the Hahn Australia Cup Final 2025 with yet another giant-killing performance, toppling reigning Isuzu UTE A-League premiers Auckland FC 2-0. The result marked their third consecutive 'Cupset' of the tournament (a new competition record) and remarkably, they have yet to concede a goal against A-League opposition throughout their historic run.

Newcastle Jets FC then booked their first-ever Hahn Australia Cup Final appearance with a thrilling 4-2 win over Avondale FC (Football VIC) in the second Semi Final.

Heidelberg United FC have taken down Isuzu UTE A-League sides Western Sydney Wanderers FC, Wellington Phoenix FC, and Auckland FC on their path to the Final, boasting an impressive +9 goal difference along the way. It's only the second time in the tournament's modern era that a Member Federation club has reached the Final and they now have the chance to become the first to lift the Hahn Australia Cup trophy.

Under the leadership of newly appointed head coach Mark Milligan, Newcastle Jets FC have enjoyed a fast start to their new era with victories over Adelaide United FC, Cooks Hill United FC (NNSW Football), Macarthur FC and Avondale FC (Football VIC) to reach the Final. Victory in their maiden appearance in the Cup Final would bring silverware back to the Hunter for the first time since 2018.

Tickets for the Hahn Australia Cup Final 2025 start from $9 Junior, $13 Concession, $18 Adult, and $48 Family, with a Football Account Pre-Sale at 11.00am AEST on Thursday, 11 September and General Public On-Sale at 1.00pm AEST on Friday, 12 September via Ticketek.

The Hahn Australia Cup winner will be in line to represent Australia in the 2026/27 AFC Champions League Two, provided they meet the AFC's club licensing requirements.
