Christmas card 2023
This years Christmas card shows the inside of a plant chamber used in the large-scale experiment AgraSim at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
It allows researchers at the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences (IBG-3) to simulate possible future climate scenarios, and to also measure dynamic interactions between the soil and the atmosphere. The experiment focuses on, for example, what crop plants can still be cultivated sustainably in fields in future under the conditions dictated by ongoing climate change. The system was developed together with Jülich's Central Institute of Engineering, Electronics and Analytics (ZEA-1).
