Health Zones Debut at Rockdale, Eastgardens Libraries

Bayside Council Libraries and South Eastern Local Health District have launched new Community Health Zones at Rockdale and Eastgardens Libraries.

The launch at Rockdale Library on 20 August brought together library visitors, families and community members to explore the new space, connect with health staff and learn more about local health and wellbeing services in Bayside. Parents, carers and young children also took part in a health promotion activity during Toddler Time.

The community Health Zones provide accessible, trusted information about health, local support services and upcoming health and wellbeing programs through the Healthy Libraries initiative.

By bringing Council and local health services together in familiar library spaces, the initiative will help improve health literacy and make reliable health information easier for residents to find.

The Community Health Zones are now available at both Rockdale and Eastgardens Libraries.
