Help Create Place Plan For Mooroolbark

Yarra Ranges Shire Council

Community members are invited to help create a Place Plan for Mooroolbark guiding the future of the town centre.

Council has launched the first stage of engagement, opening on Wednesday 27 May. The Place Plan will set strategic direction for future projects, inform advocacy for improvements, and guide decision making.

Yarra Ranges Mayor, Cr Richard Higgins, said now was the ideal time for community to get involved.

"At this early stage, we want to understand what matters most to our community i - the day-to-day challenges people face, what they value about Mooroolbarok and their hopes for the future," Cr Higgins said.

"This feedback will help us identify priorities and develop a clear community vision and action plan for the years ahead. Together, we can make Mooroolbark an even better place to live, work and play.

"We encourage residents, business owners, students and visitors to share their ideas and help shape the town's future.

"Our team will be out and about across Mooroolbark through May and June, and an online survey is now available at shaping.yarraranges.vic.gov.au.

"We want to hear from as many people as possible as everyone will have a unique perspective and different ideas about what they'd like to see which will help shape the plan."

Once finalised, the Place Plan will guide future projects and planning work, while helping Council advocate to other levels of Government for funding and project support.

Council will also host pop-up engagement sessions around Mooroolbark through the engagement period, at:
