Mildura Rural City Council is working with Red Cliffs and district residents, and the Red Cliffs Community Plan Group, to review the township's Community Plan.

These plans provide Council with valuable information, while helping to determine what residents want and set the course for future projects and initiatives.

Those interested can share their feedback in a variety of ways – in person at face-to-face consultation sessions, online or by completing a hard copy survey at the A S Kenyon Library in Red Cliffs, Coffee on Indi, the Red Cliffs Resource Centre and the Red Cliffs Club.

Councillor for Community Development Helen Healy said community plans provide residents with a chance to discuss their wants and needs.

"They are also vital in helping to drive the future direction of local townships," she said.

Cr Healy said the previous Red Cliffs Community Plan had proved instrumental in helping to deliver several exciting projects.

"This includes upgrades to the barbecue facilities at Barclay Square, and a number of events like the Red Cliffs Centenary Celebrations and the Peace Walk event," she said.

"I'm really excited to see what the next plan can deliver."

Online surveys can be completed at yoursay.mildura.vic.gov.au before Friday 10 March.

Several face-to-face feedback sessions are also planned for the following dates and locations:

  • Friday 24 February, 6pm to 8pm, Red Cliffs Club (11 Heytesbury Avenue)
  • Thursday 2 March, 9.30am to 11.30am, Red Cliffs Post Office (30 Indi Avenue)
  • Sunday 5 March, 8am to midday, Red Cliffs Community Market, between the Red Cliffs Post Office and Barclay Square (Indi Avenue)
  • Friday 10 March, 9am to midday, Ritchies IGA (1/13 Ilex Street)

"We really want to hear from the Red Cliffs community about what matters to them and what they want to achieve over the next five years," Cr Healy said.

"I strongly encourage you to get online and complete the survey, or attend one of the face-to-face sessions and meet with Council staff directly."
