Help shape our city

Community engagement is an important contributor to AlburyCity's decision-making processes. The entire community have an important role to play in shaping the city we live in, and are instrumental in creating a strong partnership between Council and the community to achieve the best outcomes for Albury.

Community engagement ensures that the community's aspirations for our city are reflected in future planning, that AlburyCity is providing services and facilities that improve our city's liveability, and that funds are being allocated where and when they are needed most.

There have been some great engagement opportunities during 2022, with the community asked to contribute to the Towards Albury 2050 Community Strategic Plan, the draft Budget 2022-23, the Bungambrawatha Creek Catchment Study, the draft Albury Botanic Gardens Master Plan, the draft Eastern Hill Activation Master Plan, the draft Reconciliation Action Plan, the draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan, MOVE: The Albury Wodonga Integrated Transport Strategy, the Two Cities One Community Strategy... and many more.

AlburyCity is now seeking feedback from the community on how they would like Council to continue to engage, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to 'Have your Say'.

The survey asks about the community's level of interest in having their say, how they would like to give feedback, and how they would like to be notified of new engagement opportunities.

AlburyCity Mayor Kylie King said one of the key priorities for Council is hearing from, and understanding community sentiment.

"My fellow Councillors and I are committed to making well-informed decisions that reflect the wants and needs of our community as a whole," said Mayor King.

"We recognise that not one solution fits all, so we want to make sure we are providing a range of avenues to engage with us, ensuring people can access an option that best suits them."

"I'd encourage everyone in the community to fill in the short survey, and give us your feedback so we can continually evolve and improve our engagement processes."

To provide feedback fill in the short survey on the AlburyCity website.

The survey closes on Sunday 13 November 2022.
