British Antarctic Survey Director Professor Dame Jane Francis today paid tribute to the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Professor Francis said:
"We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On behalf of BAS we want to express our heartfelt condolences to her family. Her sense of commitment and duty set a great example for all of us to follow. She will be missed."
