Construction has begun on the new $6 million Scott Reserve pavilion in High Wycombe, with the facility set to provide a modern sporting hub for local clubs and the wider community.
The Cook Labor Government is backing the project with a $3.3 million investment, including a $2 million State election commitment and $1.3 million through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund.
The new pavilion, being delivered by the City of Kalamunda, will strengthen Scott Reserve's role as a key sporting precinct and help grow participation in local sport.
Once complete, the facility will provide a new home for the High Wycombe Cricket Club, High Wycombe Junior Football Club, and High Wycombe Amateur Football Club.
The facility will feature inclusive change rooms, a kitchen, office facilities, and flexible social spaces, along with a shared club storage shed to support day-to-day operations.
The Cook Labor Government is also providing $150,000 across the three local sporting clubs to support the fit-out of the new clubrooms through a 2025 State election commitment.
The delivery of this project will ensure Scott Reserve continues to meet the needs of High Wycombe's growing community by providing accessible, contemporary facilities that encourage participation in sport and recreation by people of all ages and abilities.
It forms part of the Cook Labor Government's PlayOn WA: 2030 by 2030 initiative, which is driving investment in quality community sport and recreation infrastructure across Western Australia.
