The Hills Shire Council has endorsed a number of local community and cultural initiatives through its 2026/27 Council Grants program.
Mayor of the Hills Shire Council, Dr. Michelle Byrne said funding would support karaoke nights, Christmas carols, community sport and much more throughout 2026/2027.
"Council received a strong response to this year's grants program, which reflects the demand for community services, local events and initiatives that bring people in our community together," Mayor Byrne said.
"We've committed over $140,000 to community groups supporting community sport, cultural events, programs for people with disability and homelessness services to name a few.
"This funding is helping local organisations deliver projects and activities that will provide real benefits for Hills residents."
Following a competitive assessment process, independent panels allocated available funding across a range of high-quality projects, with successful applicants receiving either full or partial funding.
