Historical Sexual Assault Charges, Moreton

Detectives from the Serious Crime Investigation Team attached to Moreton Domestic Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Unit have charged a 31-year-old Kallangur man in relation to a historical sexual assault investigation in the Moreton area.

It will be alleged offences were committed across a 10-year period, against two women known to the man over the course of their relationships.

The man was arrested at a Kallangur address on April 23.

The man has since been charged with eight counts of rape (domestic violence) and one count of contravention of a DV order.

He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 30.

Investigators believe there could be other victims in the Moreton and Brisbane areas, and continue to appeal for anyone with further information to contact police.
