Hit-run with stolen vehicle in Greensborough

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a collision involving a stolen vehicle in Greensborough yesterday.

Investigators have been told a black BMW sedan was travelling erratically in the emergency lane on the Greensborough Bypass before colliding with a truck just after 10am.

It's believed the vehicle has bounced off the truck and hit the barriers at speed before the occupants fled the vehicle on foot.

The BMW was allegedly stolen during an aggravated burglary at a home on Otira Road, Caulfield North only a few hours earlier.

There were no injuries to the victim's involved in both incidents.

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage.
