Western Australia's iconic landscapes will light up screens, with the first episode of a special Home and Away WA storyline airing across Australia tonight.
The special television event, supported by the Cook Government, was filmed across a range of Western Australian locations in 2025, including Perth, Exmouth, Coral Bay, Cape Range National Park, and Bullara Station, and showcases the State's world-class coastline and distinctive tourism experiences to millions of viewers across the nation and overseas.
With a strong and loyal international following - particularly in the United Kingdom, which is Western Australia's largest international visitor market by visitor numbers - the series provides a powerful platform to inspire travel, positioning WA as a must-visit destination to a huge global audience in 50 international markets.
In the year ending September 2025, more than 140,000 visitors from the UK travelled to Western Australia, contributing $384 million to the State economy.
As Australia's longest-running drama series, Home and Away continues to attract one million viewers per episode, reinforcing its power as a platform to showcase destinations and drive travel demand.
The much-anticipated return of series favourites Brax and Ricky after more than a decade is expected to drive viewership even higher.
The Western Australian episodes are supported by a broader suite of promotional activities designed to extend the on-screen storytelling and convert audience interest into travel planning, further elevating the State's profile on the global stage
Bringing Home and Away to Western Australia highlights the Cook Government's commitment to diversifying the economy by showcasing the State to key interstate and international markets, inspiring audiences to choose WA as their next holiday destination, drawing out-of-State visitation, and providing a boost to local jobs and local businesses.
