Homicide Investigation - Spencer Park

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to seek public assistance as they investigate an incident which occurred in Spencer Park, Albany, on Sunday, 8 February 2026.

About 3.10pm, emergency services were called to a residence on Burville Street in relation to an unresponsive woman.

A 69-year-old woman was located deceased inside the residence. A 50-year-old man, who police believe was known to the woman, was located inside the residence with life-threatening injuries. He was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital but has since died.

Inquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the pair's death; however, police wish to reassure the community, there is currently no information to suggest there is an ongoing risk to the community.
