Hoppers Crossing Library temporary relocation

Read all about it - Hoppers Crossing Library is on the move.

The library will be closed from 26 June and will be relocating to a temporary location until early 2024 due to essential building works at Pacific Werribee.

Wyndham City Learning City portfolio holder, Councillor Jasmine Hill, said the library would relocate to a smaller temporary space on level 1 at Pacific Werribee, near Village Cinemas and Myer.

The temporary space is expected to open to the public on 10 July.

"The temporary space will continue to provide all the usual services and will include a small collection of books and other library items, study tables, public computers and a reading nook," Cr Hill said.

"A small calendar of programs will also be run out of the temporary space."

"You can also place items on hold and pick them up from one of Wyndham City's five other library locations, or access a huge range of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, movies, TV shows and other online resources for free through Wyndham's eLibrary."

"Wyndham City will take the opportunity during construction to increase the size of this well-loved space by adding two new community rooms, with works funded through a Victorian Government Living Libraries Grant."
