ILO Launches "This Is Social Justice" Campaign

The International Labour Organization (ILO) has launched the "This is social justice" campaign , with a series of social media videos that show the transformative impact of social justice on the lives of workers, employers, and communities.

The campaign highlights the centrality of social justice to decent work and the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ahead of the upcoming Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD), which takes place in Doha from 4-6 November 2025.

The first story features Gjergj Leqejza, an entrepreneur and business owner who chose to stay in his native Albania despite decades of economic challenges, and to build a textile business based on decent jobs, community support, and social justice for all.

Gjergj's story is part of series that includes videos about a farmer from Bangladesh, a team leader on an environmentally sustainable urban regeneration project in Jordan, a union leader at a mega-sports centre in Brazil, a working mother with on-site childcare support in Moldova, and a homeless man turned salaried manager in South Africa. The campaign will continue to bring additional transformational human stories to global audiences after the Summit in Doha concludes, including Colombia, Senegal, and the Dominican Republic.

A new video will be released every Monday and Thursday following the launch, until the start of the World Summit.
