ILO Unveils Dynamic Profiles for Real-Time Work Data

The International Labour Organization (ILO) has launched a new generation of country profiles in ILOSTAT, its portal to labour statistics, providing interactive and continuously updated overviews of labour market and decent work indicators for every Member State.

"The new country profiles make ILO statistics more accessible to everyone," said Rafael Diez de Medina, Chief Statistician and Director of the ILO Department of Statistics. "They provide an at-a-glance picture of labour markets and decent work conditions across countries, helping decision-makers and citizens alike turn data into insights."

Each profile presents a snapshot of the world of work through interactive charts that highlight trends in employment, unemployment, wages, informality and other key decent work indicators. The profiles update automatically as new data are released in ILOSTAT, ensuring that policymakers, researchers and the public always have access to the most recent and reliable labour statistics.

The new country profiles showcase how innovation can make official statistics more transparent and relevant to the realities of work. They form part of the Department of Statistics' broader modernisation efforts to expand access to labour market information through new tools, data services and user-friendly visualisations. This work also complements the Department's recent collaboration with the United Nations Statistics Division to feature ILO data in the new UN Data Commons Platform, strengthening the visibility and accessibility of labour statistics across the UN system.
