Image of man released, inquiries into 2018 sexual assault continue - Berala

Police are appealing to locate a man who may be able to assist with inquiries into an alleged sexual assault at Berala last year.

On Sunday 25 March 2018, officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended a Rooty Hill home, after a 29-year-old woman reported a sexual assault which allegedly occurred earlier at a Berala address.

A 26-year-old man was charged with sexual intercourse without consent on Monday 26 March 2018, and is currently granted conditional bail to reappear at Parramatta District Court on Monday 26 August 2019.

Investigators have now released the image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his mid-late 20s, with tattoos on his right forearm, chest, and back of his neck, and is depicted wearing a shirt with "SURREAL" written on the front.
