Image of seized car released as police appeal for information on shooting - Lansvale

Detectives have seized a car as part of an investigation into a shooting in Sydney's south-west.

About 3.10am on Thursday 13 February 2020, two men, with their faces covered and armed with a rifle, entered a granny flat and shot a man on Huntingdale Avenue, Lansvale.

A short time later, emergency services attended and treated the man for a gunshot wound to his stomach before taking him to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

About 3.15pm on Tuesday 10 March 2020, detectives seized a green Daewoo Nubira sedan on Elizabeth Street in Tighes Hill, Newcastle.

They're appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the Lansvale area, late on Wednesday 12 February 2020 or early Thursday 13 February 2020, to contact Fairfield Police Station on (02) 9728 8399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
