Impound after excessive speed in Dandenong

Dandenong Highway Patrol impounded a vehicle after it was detected travelling at an alleged speed of 120km in a 60km zone yesterday afternoon.

The vehicle, a black AMG C63 was spotted by the Police Airwing travelling along Power Road about 4.15pm.

Police monitored the vehicle from the air as it travelled along the Princess Highway in Eumemmerring before police intercepted the driver in Scott Street, Dandenong.

The man's vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $983.

The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old from Narre Warren South, is expected to be charged on summons with drive in manner dangerous, use mobile phone whilst driving and not displaying P Plates.
