Industry leader joins Central Queensland Hospital and Health Board

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services The Honourable Yvette D'Ath

A senior executive with over 26 years of local government experience has been appointed to the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Board.

Michelle Webster will be joining the nine-person board in April, alongside Matthew Cooke, Tina Zawila, and Leann Wilson who have all been reappointed to their positions.

Continuing members Paul Bell AM, Lisa Caffery, Professor Fiona Coulson, Dr Poya Sobhanian and Mr John Abbott AM will remain in their roles until 2024.

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D'Ath said Ms Webster brought a strong track record of leadership and management to her role.

"Ms Webster's continued success over her career shows the strength of her leadership skills and business acumen," Ms D'Ath said.

"Ms Webster has served the Central Queensland region for over 26 years in local government and continues to show her commitment to the community through her appointment to the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Board.

"I welcome her appointment and look forward to seeing the strides she will make in ensuring that Central Queensland residents continue to receive outstanding healthcare."
