Information sought - Upper Swan traffic crash, WA

Around 9.45pm, an offender stole a gold coloured Nissan Patrol which was parked in the driveway of a home on Blythe Street. The owner of the vehicle and his daughter attempted to stop the theft and in the process he has fallen under the vehicle and the offender drove over him. The man in his 40s received serious injuries and was airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctors Service to a Perth hospital for surgery.

The vehicle was later recovered by Police on Rodgers Street, WA Police say.

Around 10.10pm, a second vehicle, a silver Toyota Hilux utility was stolen from an address on Rodgers Street. This vehicle was recovered by police early the following morning. Police believe these vehicles were stolen by the same person.

Detectives are calling for witnesses to both incidents to come forward, particularly three people who were seen on Blythe Street around the time of the first incident.
