Inquiries underway after man found with gunshot wound - Killarney Vale

An investigation is underway after a man was found suffering a gunshot wound at a home on the Central Coast this morning.

Emergency services were called to a house on Main Street, Killarney Vale, shortly after 4.15am (Saturday 6 February 2021), and found a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

The 29-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken by helicopter to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.

Officers from Tuggerah Lake Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

As they work to determine where the man was injured, crime scenes have been established at the Main Street house, as well as a second home on Chapel Street, in Hamilton Street and outside a supermarket on Wyong Road, all at Killarney Vale.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the vicinity of any of these locations, and who saw suspicious activity, or who may have captured this on dashcam, to contact Wyong Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
