Instructor Charged in School Camp Assault Case

Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged an outdoor recreation instructor over the alleged sexual assault of three students at a school camp.

Police allege that between Thursday 23 October and Friday 24 October 2025, an 18-year-old instructor inappropriately touched three 11-year-old girls while checking their harnesses during a number of camp activities.

The investigation commenced in November 2025 after a report of the alleged conduct were made to officers from State Crime Command's Child Abuse Squad.

About 11.10am yesterday (Tuesday 25 November 2025), detectives attended an address in Harrington Park where they arrested an 18-year-old man.

The man was taken to Camden Police Station, where he was charged with thirteen counts of intentionally sexually touch child >= 10 yrs & < 16 yrs.

He was refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Local Court 3 today (Wednesday 26 November 2025), where he was formally refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday 12 December 2025.
