The Insurance Council of Australia welcomes Ben Howell to the Insurance Council's Board of Directors as a non-executive Director commencing Wednesday 8 October.
Ben has served as Country President of Chubb's general insurance business in Australia and New Zealand since September 2024. He brings more than 20 years' experience in the insurance industry, with particular expertise across the Asia-Pacific region.
The insurance industry is grappling with challenges posed by ongoing inflation and intensifying extreme weather events and is focussed on uplifting protections for consumers to support communities bearing the impact of these challenges.
Ben's experience across multiple lines of insurance and his time as Head of Consumer for Chubb Asia Pacific will be an asset to the Board as this important work progresses.
The Board would like to thank outgoing Directors, Tara Page and Natasha Fenech, who have each made significant contributions to the board during their tenures.
After serving on the Board since January 2024, Tara completed her tenure in July 2025.
Following six years on the board, Natasha completed her tenure on 30 September.
