- Taste WA 2025 buyers mission promotes WA produce to international buyers
- Week-long program connects overseas buyers with more than 90 local food and beverage producers
- Part of Cook Government's efforts to grow agrifood exports and diversify the State's economy
Western Australia's premium quality food and beverages have been showcased to international buyers as part of the Taste WA 2025 trade mission delivered by the Cook Government.
More than 20 international buyers toured Perth, the South West and Great Southern over the last week to learn more about WA's first-class food and beverage offerings.
The mission featured buyers from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Taiwan.
The six-day program enabled buyers to engage with more than 90 WA agribusinesses, sample premium products and gain insight into provenance and production.
It included immersive experiences in seafood, horticulture, lamb, beef, wagyu, truffles, abalone and more, along with incredible paddock-to-plate dining experiences focused on WA produce.
The delegation also attended WA's biggest food and beverage industry trade show, Meet the Buyer, in Perth, allowing visitors to connect with producers from around the State.
The delegation was facilitated through the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, along with Austrade TradeStart partners from the Great Southern Development Commission, South West Development Commission and Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, with the support of the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification.
Previous Taste WA missions have strengthened Western Australia's reputation for premium, high-quality produce - resulting in beef, chicken and dairy products now reaching several international markets, wines exported to the United Kingdom, Thailand and Singapore, and targeted in-market activations showcasing the State's world-class value-added products.
As stated by Agriculture and Food Minister Jackie Jarvis:
"The Cook Government is committed to growing our agrifood exports, including supporting market access, new partnerships and export opportunities for WA agribusinesses.
"We know previous Taste WA missions have facilitated hundreds of business connections and contributed to millions of dollars in export growth, which is a testament to the quality and appeal of WA produce.

As stated by Regional Development Minister Stephen Dawson:
