Investigation Concludes: No Ongoing Threat After Padstow Stabbing

About 8.40am today (Thursday 15 February 2024), emergency services were called to a childcare centre on Bank Street, Padstow, following reports a person had been stabbed.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command attended and found a 39-year-old woman with a stab wound to her stomach.

Police were told the woman sustained the injury at a nearby train station, before making her way to a childcare centre.

She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Bankstown Hospital in a stable condition.

Initial inquiries by Bankstown Detectives have established there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Investigations continue.
