Local food and beverage producers will today put the best of Western Australia on show for buyers from across Australia and overseas at Meet the Buyer, Western Australia's flagship food and beverage industry trade show.

The annual trade event supported by the Cook Labor Government features over 85 exhibitors showcasing around 600 Western Australian products to chefs, distributors, wholesalers, national and independent retailers, including businesses from across the hospitality, mining and resources, education, and health care sectors.

Now in its sixth year, Meet the Buyer has established itself as the State's premier food and beverage industry trade exhibition and networking forum, presented by the Buy West Eat Best program.

International delegates from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam will also attend as part of the Taste WA trade mission, delivered through the Cook Labor Government in collaboration with Austrade.

Products showcased range from local dairy, seafood, and meat to specialty grocery, pasta, and confection lines.

This year's event will also feature the largest beverage showcase in Meet the Buyer's history, with products ranging from artisan wines and craft sodas to innovative coffee and tea blends.

Return exhibitors include WA's only chip manufacturer WA Chip, which is aiming to build on catering connections and explore international leads, and Osborne Park-based fresh noodle producer Yunion, which is seeking insights from businesses that have successfully expanded into east coast markets.
