The Allan Labor Government is giving more Victorian children the best start in life by investing in the delivery of modern, upgraded and well-equipped kinders right across the state.
Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn today announced applications are open for the $10 million Building Blocks Improvement Grants, funded in the Victorian Budget 2025/26.
Grants will help early childhood education providers upgrade and improve facilities such as playgrounds, learning spaces and technology - making kinder more modern, safe and fun for every child.
Grants of up to $750,000 are available to renovate or refurbish kindergartens - delivering upgraded learning environments that give kids the best chance to thrive.
Providers can also apply for up to $2,000 in IT grants to support the purchase of desktops, laptops, tablets and televisions used in the delivery of educational programs or service administration.
The Labor Government is investing billions to build and expand hundreds of kindergartens across the state, supporting the delivery of 15 hours of three-year-old kindergarten each week by 2029 and up to 30 hours of Pre-Prep each week by 2036.
Free Kinder is saving families up to $2,600 per child, every year - helping make kinder more accessible for every child.
Through our nation-leading $14 billion Best Start, Best Life reforms, we're transforming early childhood education to help children thrive, save families money, and support parents and carers to return to work or study if they choose.
IT applications close on Monday, 29 September, and grants for facility upgrades and minor works close on Monday, 27 October.
